For the choosy winter holidaymaker the Wälderhof is ideal!

The family ski area "Hoch Häderich" is located only 15 minutes' drive away. It offers two draglifts, one chairlift, a ski and snowboard school and a cross-country skiing trail through the high alpine moors.
Also 15 minutes' drive away is the Balderschwang ski area in Germany. This snow-sure area has three chairlifts and several draglifts, a ski and snowboard school and wonderful runs for beginners and advanced skiers. Not to be forgotten are the cross-country ski trails and the welcoming refreshment huts with their own special atmosphere.
For a bit of a change there are the many ski areas which are part of the 3-valley ski region of the Bregenzerwald-Großes Walsertal-Lechtal.

The highest
· Warth-Schröcken (1.700 to 2.000 m, 11 chairlifts and 4 practice lifts), thanks to the many north-facing slopes the runs are snow-sure late into the new year
· Damüls (1.400 to 2.000 m, 7 chairlifts and 3 draglifts), renowned for its snow bars

The varied
· Alberschwende (8 lifts), ideal for beginners
· Au-Schoppernau (Diedamskopf ski area with 8 lifts), large family area near the valley station, lovely views
· Andelsbuch (6 lifts), excellent powder snow slopes, new Fun-Park for boarders
· Bezau (2 gondolas, connection to the Andelsbuch ski area)
· Mellau (8 lifts), beautiful runs through the trees, FIS-course
· Schwarzenberg/Bödele (9 lifts), runs for beginners and experienced

The family-friendly
· Egg-Schetteregg (6 lifts), hard to get lost on the wide runs
· Hittisau/Riefensberg, Hochhäderich (5 lifts) good combined offer with the cross-country ski area
· Riefensberg/Hochlitten (4 draglifts), small and exclusive
