The expression of tradition: cheese from the Bregenzerwald
The "Cheese Route" stretches right through the valleys of the Bregenzerwald and is evidence of the co-operation between the farming and tourist communities in the area. The Wälderhof is one of the many "cheese-hosts" in the Bregenzerwald who have decided to commit themselves to keeping the traditions of the cheese-producing area alive.
The Bregenzerwald Cheese Route allies the farmers from the cultivated farmland in the area (and the around 100 variations of cheeses that it produces) with the cheese specialists and the chefs in their delicatessens and renowned restaurants who display the different faces and tastes of the region and its actual current traditional methods of production.
